Our company was founded in 1987 by Malcolm F. Jones III. After graduating with a degree in Building Construction from the School of Architecture at Virginia Tech University in 1981, Mr. Jones moved to South Florida and began his career in the construction industry. 5 years later, having spent the majority of that time with a prominent and award winning South Florida contractor, and designing and building his own home, Mr. Jones decided to form his own company and bring his unique vision and talents to the marketplace. Soon after the completion of his very first residence it was clear that Malcolm Jones was a serious competitor in the luxury real estate market. For the next decade Homes By Jones continued to make waves and build a reputation that was second to none, having designed, built, and sold many a magnificent and award winning estate homes in some of the most prestigious neighborhoods in South Florida. In 1994 after having established a presence in exclusive communities such as St. Andrews Country Club, Addison Reserve, and The Loxahatchee Club, Homes By Jones was selected as one of a handful of preferred builders to bring to life a new community that was to set the tone for Northern Palm Beach County. That community was BallenIsles in Palm Beach Gardens. Due in part to the contribution made by Homes By Jones and its award winning custom estates, including the completion of three entire pods, BallenIsles became one the most successful Luxury Golf and Tennis communities in the entire country, ranking 5th nationwide on the Platinum Club top 100. Beginning in 2005, Homes By Jones upped the ante, and followed this success with the completion of multi-award winning estates in three highly ranked and even more exclusive and prestigious new golf clubs in the north end of Palm Beach County; Frenchman’s Reserve in Palm Beach Gardens and more recently Old Palm Golf Club, as well as Jack Nicklaus’s The Bear’s Club in Jupiter.
